Violetta: Unbound ...reconfigures La Traviata into a visceral fusion of verismo lyricism, drag, shibari and club culture. The result is an evening of opera that invites audiences into a collective experience of beauty, intensity, vulnerability and excess.

The audience experiences a structured 1hr retelling of Violetta's story in which Verdi's music is folded into a club context.

Developed to be performed flexibly primarily in a queer-focused nightlife venue, the show is conceived as a site-specific live event which connects to and uplifts local communities. Interweaving interactive theatre, shibari and dance music, the show draws spectators into the narrative, creating a sense of participation, intimacy, and shared investment in the unfolding story.

The evening is operatic melodrama in miniature: sumptuous yet makeshift, luxurious yet raw, creating a kind of "budget spectacle" overwhelming in its immediacy and emotional intensity. The atmosphere is cathartic, buoyant, irreverent, communal, and co-creative. Throughout, audiences are held within this swirling chaos by a seasoned team of performer-creators whose virtuosity, presence, and craft transform opera into something visceral, celebratory, and alive.
